Summer Courses

We are open year-round and we have a selection of courses available as always. Our Round The World series continues with a different cuisine featuring every week, and Cocktails and Canapés is on the first Thursday of every month - the perfect way to have a sociable apéro with a twist. We continue to offer specialist courses on Saturdays throughout May and June, so sign up if you want to really get to grips with something specific - barbecues, gluten-free baking and bread are all coming up in the next month or two!

Stir-Up Sunday

Sunday 25th November 2018, 09.30-14.00 On Stir-up Sunday, the traditional day when family's get together to make your Christmas puddings, come along to stir up a storm in the kitchen creating all your festive treats. Make your own mincemeat for pies, fashion some edible decorations for the tree and of course mix up the perfect Christmas pud!

Saturday 3rd November 2018, 09.30 - 14.00. With autumn comes the game season - why not come along and learn to cook your very own 'Chasse' menu? Learn about the different types of game particular to our region and create some fabulous accompaniments with the wonderful seasonal ingredients.

First Thursday of every month, 18.00 - 20.00 Apéro at Mountain Thyme! Come and join us: every month we’ll make two cocktails and two styles of canapés, which we’ll then enjoy together and stay for a chat. You’ll not only learn some new skills, but also make some new friends.

Saturday 27th October 2018, 9.30 - 14.00. Making bread is the most cathartic thing I can think of doing. Getting your hands deep into dough is life-affirming and creates such a wonderful sense of achievement, not to mention the mouth-watering smell in the kitchen. When you know how, it’s not too difficult and needn’t take all day. Let us show you a number of classic loaves, with an opportunity to add some more exotic ingredients. Thursdays 18.00 - 21.00 Every week we will find ourselves in another corner of the globe. We’ll cover cuisines ranging from southern France to China, India and beyond. Come and learn to make Sachertorte, chicken pho and onion bhajis among many others. The course includes the delicious dinner you’ve made and a glass of wine.
